2009 Decatur Book Festival

Today begins the fourth annual Decatur Book Festival. This free book festival, which will last until Sunday, is held at various locations around the downtown square in Decatur and gathers over 250 fiction and nonfiction authors to the Decatur area. Last year, over 75,000 people attended the three-day event. I’m looking forward to making this event as I’ve wanted to go for the last two years, but was out of town.

There are many children’s activities, including a parade Saturday morning and a mariachi brunch. There are also events for teens, so families of all ages should have a good time. Click here to be taken to a website for more information.

Sounds awesome! Some day you'll be joining them, not as an observer but as an author! Won't that be an exciting day!

That would definitely be wonderful. Maybe some day!
